Group Classes

Regardless of your physical abilities or your schedule, we have the right class for you. If you need guidance in finding a class that fits your needs, please contact the Coaches directly.

Class Descriptions

Boxing

This is a 60 minute class full of actual boxing techniques including 1-on-1 mitt practice, work with heavy bags and speed bags, strength and conditioning, agility and much more. If you want to burn calories and have lots of fun doing it, come try boxing. 

 

This class is available with the Boxing membership package.

Otherwise, it is available for the drop-in rate for regular members or non members.

Circuit Training

If you want to reduce body fat, improve conditioning or muscular endurance, work your whole body, and improve your fitness level, circuit training is for you. Training will include working different muscles groups with some cardio. Body weight, free weights, dumb bells, kettle bells, TRX, bands and much more will be used in this training.

 

This class is available with the Circuit membership package.

Otherwise, it is available for the drop-in rate for regular members or non-members.

Group Strength

GET FIT and get more out of life! Group Strength gives you all the fitness training you need – cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility – in just one hour. Get stronger, fitter, and healthier with inspiring music, adjustable dumbbells, weight plates, body weight, and simple athletic movements.

 

This class is included in our regular monthly membership package.

Rock Steady Boxing

Developed in 2006 and offered now in 25 states, Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) improves quality of life by adapting elements of training for boxers to the unique needs of people with Parkinson’s.  Exercises address four hallmark features of Parkinson’s:  rigidity/stiffness, postural control, tremor, and slowness of movement (bradykinesia).  Through a carefully planned sequence of progressive exercises, boxers improve balance, agility, endurance, posture, and voice. In addition to functional improvement, RSB participants appreciate the camaraderie of striving with peers and the motivating power of therapists who are passionate about the program. 

 

These classes are organized through Spaulding Rehabilitation Center.

Small Group

These individually designed programs incorporate progressions and modifications within supervised coached appointments. If you are looking for more personalized training with the benefits of working out in a group, Small Group classes are perfect for you. Groups can include up to 4 people.

 

These classes are open to all members and non-members for a weekly rate. Spots are available on a limited basis depending on enrollment. Small Group classes can also be made available outside the offered times listed above. Contact our trainers directly to discuss their availability.

Spin

Indoor cycling on stationary bikes geared to challenge your cardiovascular fitness. Various movement positions meant to simulate an outdoor experience of riding on flat roads, up and down hills all while being coached on riding technique and motivated by energizing music.

New to spin? Please arrive 15 minutes early so your instructor can help get you set up correctly for a smooth ride.

Sprint8

If you are over 30, you are likely experiencing somatopause. If you are a regular member who would like to try a Circuit Training class or Boxing class, you are welcome to come for a $20 drop in fee.

If you are a non-member, you are welcome to take any class for a $20 drop-in fee.

Small Group classes are open to anyone for a weekly rate. Spots are available on a limited basis depending on enrollment. These classes can also be made available outside the offered times listed on our schedule. Contact our coaches directly to discuss their availability.
